Realtime statistics & reportsRealtime statistics & reportsWhile many CDNs have limited reporting features, VideoExchange offers advanced, realtime, graphical and in-depth statistics and reports for both the CDN operators and the CDN content owners. NOC uptimeThe NOC reports the current and historical uptime status of every part of the CDN. Available services are reported via colored indicators. Every few minutes, every internal and delivery service is monitored: applications, databases, feeds, RTSP, RTMP, HTTP and MMS servers. Whenever an incident occurs, the service flashes orange (non critical alert) or red (critical alert). Incidents in the delivery cloud are internally notified so viewers are never redirected to a failing service. Your operators are warned via email and text messages. CDN loadThe CDN shows realtime graphical reports for current and 24-hour requests and redirects. A single screen shows pie and line charts with requests from networks, redirects to delivery servers, most active networks, most used delivery servers and clusters, most popular customers, asset distribution for core and bursting servers, live distribution for core and bursting servers. The CDN even reports the most active networks that not yet have been connected to the CDN, so you can start deploying edge servers in or near those networks. NOC loadThe NOC also monitors network, CPU, memory and disk load for every resource in the CDN. Network loads are graphically displayed, with the busiest server, cluster or PoP on top. This allows you to immediately offload traffic from busy resources to other resources in the CDN. Traffic reportsThe CDN reports historical traffic usage per customer. This data is processed from the media server logs, so the data is very accurate. You can export the traffic reports to your billing system. The StreamStat application reports new log lines per service, per server and in total. CDN statusOversee who are currently logged in. Which assets are new. Which assets are in the distribution cue. See which end users are generating 404 errors, from which web sites. See the historical cue process for popularity analysis, assets and relays distribution, and internal checks. Account statisticsOversee in realtime which customers use the most resources. Check their usage patterns. Check their storage quota and bursting requirements. Tune their accounts to fit their needs. Upsell additional capacity. See when accounts expire. Realtime content statisticsEvery content customer on the CDN gets realtime graphical statistics per asset and per live stream, including geographical and delivery details. The customer can generate pie, line and accumulative outputs. This data is saved up to one week.
Every content customer also has realtime graphical statistics for the overall account for the last 24 hours. Top geographical requests, top redirects, most popular assets and live streams, regular and hot assets percentage, regular and hot live streams percentage. In-depth historical content reportsThe built-in StreamStat application also provides in-depth historical, graphial reports based on media server log files for maximum accuracy. Reports are provided per delivery service: Apache, StroboScope, Wowza, Darwin and Windows Media Server for instance.
Oversee views and traffic per year, month, week, day and hour. Geographical information is displayed per country and per ISP.
All end users DNS names or IP addresses are provided. The average view duration for the entire account is calculated. See top assets and live streams.
Since all rich data is saved in a database we can build custom queries that let you further analyse content data. We also provide download access to filtered and aggregated logs per account. |
